Zoë Robertson is a Finnish and Canadian artist and designer. Her work explores how identity and agency are moderated by space and language. More recently, it also deals with memory, grief, and legacy. She combines her background in journalism, creative writing, and audio production to weave narrative into material artefacts. She is currently based in Helsinki, Finland while enrolled in the Contemporary Design Master’s program at Aalto University.
Her radio and TV work is primarily comedy. Her writing has been published in POV Magazine and Beaufort Magazine, and her podcast has been featured in The Guardian newspaper (UK), Helsingin Sanomat (Finland), NOW Magazine, and on CBC Radio’s Podcast Playlist. Her first short film “Gathering” (2013) won the Aarhus Short Film Challenge in the same year.
She is currently producing A Place Speaks To You, an audio-visual installation art piece forthcoming in 2024.
